As we approach the end of May, it’s time to reflect on a few of the events and exciting moments we’ve experienced here at Globetrotters Golf over April and May. From stunning weddings to industry conferences, here’s a glimpse into what we’ve been up to.
Showcasing Fun at Slindon House Wedding Fayre
Earlier this month, we also attended the Slindon House Wedding Fayre as a supplier. It was a fantastic opportunity to speak with many lovely couples about how mini-golf and games can add a unique and fun element to their weddings. We even offered couples a chance to try for a hole-in-one to win a discount on their booking.
We met loads of wonderful suppliers there, including Cath Adam and her niece Sienna from Cath Adam @ The Bride Shop, who are very local to us! They were showcasing some of the stunning wedding dresses they have on offer, and to everyone’s delight, Sienna managed to get a hole-in-one!

A Day of Fun with the Tunbridge Wells Scouts
We had the pleasure of participating in the Tunbridge Wells Scout Day, a celebration of St. George’s Day. Hundreds of scouts gathered together for a day filled with exhilarating activities and fun.
From inflatables to quad biking, zorbing to zip wires, and even axe throwing (alongside our mini golf, of course), there was no shortage of excitement. It was heartwarming to see the joy on the faces of participants as they navigated through the various challenges and adventures offered throughout the day. We were thrilled to contribute to the festivities and create memorable experiences for all who attended. The day was an absolute blast, and we look forward to next year.
This was also a debut for our brand new windmill obstacle!
A Dream Wedding at Buxted Park
On Thursday, 2nd May, we had the pleasure of being part of a magical wedding at the beautiful Buxted Park Hotel. Nestled in the heart of the Sussex countryside, this elegant venue provided the perfect backdrop for a day filled with love and laughter. To add a unique twist to their special day, the happy couple hired six holes of our crazy golf course to entertain their guests.
The mini-golf set up on the manicured lawns of Buxted Park became an instant hit. As guests mingled after the ceremony and before the reception, they enjoyed friendly competition and lighthearted fun.
Rain or Shine: A Joyful Celebration at Ufton Court
The wedding festivities continued on Bank Holiday Monday, 6th May, at the historic Ufton Court near Reading. This time, we set up a nine-hole mini-golf course alongside a charming wisteria-covered barn. Despite the rainy weather, the spirits of the guests remained high, and the mini-golf tournament organised by the bride and groom was a highlight of the day.
The competition was fierce but friendly, with guests eagerly participating in hopes of winning the coveted trophy. There was even a special prize for the worst golfer—a wooden spoon, which added an extra layer of humour and camaraderie to the event. The laughter and joy shared among the guests, even under the rain summed up the wonderful day perfectly.
Gaining Industry Insights
Our co-founders, Nick and Daisy, had the exciting opportunity to attend the Competitive Socialising Conference in London, sponsored by Home Leisure Direct. This conference brought together leaders from the competitive socialising and hospitality industries to discuss the latest trends and innovations in the field.
Nick and Daisy found it incredibly insightful to hear from industry experts about the ongoing expansion and development of competitive socialising (comp soc) not just in the UK but globally. They discovered numerous exciting new offerings that are shaping the future of this dynamic market.
Of course, the day wouldn’t have been complete without a bit of fun. Nick and Daisy couldn’t resist snapping a photo with the Premier League trophy and indulging in a few games of shuffleboard to top off their experience.
We can’t wait to see what the rest of the year has in store, we have a few exciting announcements up our sleeve! Stay tuned for more updates, and as always, keep on putting!
