Summer Catch Up: Weddings, Festivals & A Busy Season on the Road

The summer season has flown by in a blur of weddings, festivals, corporate events and family days out – and what a season it has been for Team Globetrotters!

From the very first June booking at Plumpton College’s Summer Ball right through to August weddings and festivals, we’ve had the pleasure of bringing our crazy golf courses and garden games to so many brilliant settings. Our calendar has been busier than ever, with couples celebrating their big day, businesses looking for something a little different for staff socials, and community events welcoming families for summer fun.

Along the way, our small team – Olivia, Luke, Anna, Paul and others, have been the friendly faces making it all happen, guided (and often fuelled by coffee!) by Nick. We’ve clocked up plenty of miles this summer, which has made our newest investment a real game changer: our very own branded van. It’s already become part of the Globetrotters identity, helping us travel up and down the country with courses and games in tow.

Love is in the air...

Summer is always a popular time for weddings, and this year was no exception. From Selden Barns to The Ravenswood, Firle Place to Wotton House, couples across the South East celebrated their big day with a round or two of mini golf.

Highlights included:

  • Custom wedding obstacles that gave a personal touch to the courses.

  • Leaderboards that brought out some competitive streaks among guests.

  • Garden games packages that kept guests entertained all afternoon.

Every wedding feels different, and we’ve enjoyed watching each couple make the courses part of their celebrations in their own way.

Festivals & Community Events

Summer weekends have seen us at some fantastic events, from the family-friendly FOSTival in Kent to the West Sussex International Jamboree where thousands of scouts and guides gathered for a week of adventure.

We also returned to familiar favourites, including Ifield Scouts’ celebration day and Camp Kindling – a magical summer camp packed with activities, music, workshops, and adventures for families. Amongst all the action, our mini golf course was a hit with campers of all ages, offering a fun way to wind down (or spark a little healthy competition!).

A New Arrival – The Beacon Course

This summer also marked the launch of our newest 9-hole course – The Beacon. Sleek, fun and designed to complement our Icebreaker course, it’s already been out to a whole range of weddings and events. Introducing The Beacon has meant we can be in even more places at once, bringing Globetrotters magic to more occasions than ever before.

Our Pop Up Course at Standen

One of the biggest projects of our summer has been our pop up at National Trust Standen House & Gardens. From 19th July through to 31st August, families have been enjoying our Icebreaker course on the Croquet Lawn, complete with fun woodland animal theming.

It’s been amazing to welcome visitors every day through the school holidays, and to see golf fans (and total beginners) give it a go. If you haven’t yet had the chance, there’s still time – the last day is Saturday 31st August. 👉 Book your tickets here

Wrapping up

We’re so grateful to every couple, business, and organisation who chose Globetrotters to be part of their event, and to our fantastic team for keeping the energy high from start to finish.

September is already shaping up to be another busy month, with more weddings and plenty of corporate end of summer staff parties in the diary. After that, we’ll (hopefully!) get the chance to kick back this Christmas… unless something exciting pops up!
